New Technology For Precise Grinding Face and Tops Of Teeth on Carbide Circular Saws
Carnegie, PA... Vollmer of America Corporation has introduced a new series of automatic machines specifically designed to automatically grind the face and tops of carbide circular saw blades. The CHC eco is a smaller, compact version of other Vollmer CHC series machines and designed specifically to meet the needs of saw mills for speed accuracy, footprint and lower initial cost. Like all Vollmer machines, it is incredibly precise, fast and durable in addition to being easy to operate. The CHC eco provides incredibly accurate results on blades up to XX” (810 mm) and tooth pitch ranging from XX” to XX” (7 mm – 100 mm). The rapid traversing grinding wheel minimizes cycles times allowing for maximum saw blade output. The CHC eco can simultaneously grind a variety of tooth shapes while chamfering both sides of the leader in a single set-up. This machine is also ideal for newly brazed-in carbide teeth and bridging gaps left by individual tooth breakages. The CHC eco is a “wet” machine that operates with an oil coolant that contributes to overall product quality and extends the life of the machine. Symmetrical hollow tooth grinding can also be accomplished with a hollow face grinding device and chip breaker grooves also added as an option. The fully programmable CHC eco enables operators to grind blades with extremely complex tooth geometries. At the heart of the system is the Vollmer PMC processor that, through plain text prompts, delivers easy to program operation. Storing up to 40 programs, the operator friendly control enables rapid changeovers on short run grinding. The CHC eco features a unique blade clamping system that utilizes a blade retainer incorporating a magnetic flange that ensures precise blade centering. The CHC eco features either Borazon or diamond grinding wheels.
