Advanced Saw Blade Grinding Technology In A Compact Machine
Carnegie, PA... Vollmer of America Corporation has introduced the new Model CX 100 Grinding machine. With a compact footprint, the CX 100 delivers full CNC control to fast and precise grinding of carbide-tipped circular saw blades up to 500mm diameter. This new technology incorporates 4 axes CNC control to bevel grind every tooth shape (face or top) in one cycle. With the CX 100 even blades with differing tooth pitches or configurations can be handled as a “standard”. Operators have complete control over grinding times, wheel feed and grinding stroke and tooth feed. The efficient, rapid grinding operation of the CX 100 reduces cycle times, while delivering precise, repeatable machining. The award winning physical design starts with a compact footprint of the CX 100 (1250mm X 950mm) providing maximum machining capabilities in a small space. The cabinet features a large window for operator viewing. The machine compartment is separated from the workpiece area with a protective cover eliminating the risk of contamination of the machines mechanical components. Intelligent, easy to program CNC is accomplished by leading operators through plain text and supported by graphics on an LCD screen. Once basic data is entered, and stored for future use, Vollmer software calculates tooth pitch. Existing geometries for face and top grinding can be accessed via menus. Optional hardware and software packages for operations such as metal machining, multiple surface machining on tooth tops or oscillating grinding make the CX 100 a versatile machine.
